The Brief
Working in partnership with Elite Foodservice Design Limited, our brief was to supply a new corporate entertaining concept for Woods River Cruises.
This was one of the largest and most prestigious projects we had embarked upon together.
Woods Quay is moored on the Thames, situated directly in front of the Savoy Hotel on the Victoria Embankment.
The space was to serve as an inviting space for guests to socialise and await their private charter.
The Equipment
The reception pontoon project was separated into 4 areas:
- Main Pass
- Tasting Counter
- Back Bar Counter
- Bar Area
The beauty of this project was the way in which finishes, and materials were used to create a distinctly individual feel in each section.
The customer had decided upon a scheme that incorporated naturally occurring colours and materials to compliment the landscape.
To create the finished project, we used:
- Lapitech Grigio Cemento tops with square polished edges
- FORMICA Laminate in Matte 58 & Wood grain with stainless steel shadow gaps
- Stained ribbed MDF fascia panels
The Result
The result is a multi-functional space, offering a fine dining experience but also capable of catering for large gatherings, with a more relaxed food offering and contemporary bar for high-end drinks service.
The client wanted guests to experience live cooking, with chefs able to cook taster menus paired with wine, creating an unforgettable dining experience further enhanced by the benefiting from stunning views of London by the Thames.
